Comet Hale-Bopp
Near-Live Comet Watching System:
The Near-Live Comet Watching System was a technology demonstration site that I worked on for NASA HQ.
Over 2500 images were uploaded to the site during the 4 1/2 month period around Hale-Bopp's perihelion
encounter. The purpose site was to encourage amateur astronomers or anyone such as mom-n-pop and the kids
to go outside and take photographs of the comet and then upload them to this NASA site. It was a smashing success!
My twin brother David and myself uploaded several images to the site.
